ARIZONA, CHECK THE FACTS ON CONGRESSMAN JUAN CISCOMANI AND THE “ONE BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL”
The “One Big Beautiful Bill” passed by the Republican Congress contains the largest Medicaid cuts in history.
Tens of millions of hardworking Americans depend on Medicaid to provide essential health care, including 2.2 million in Arizona. When Congressman Ciscomani voted for the “One Big Beautiful Bill”, he voted to cut health care for tens of thousands of people in Arizona.
15 million Americans will lose health care coverage under this law, including 314,000 in Arizona.
The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimates more than 15 million Americans will lose health care and become uninsured under this law.

Nursing home and long-term care residents could lose access to care
Medicaid helps two in three nursing home residents afford care. Cuts in the Republican Tax Law could mean seniors and their families pay more. This would have disastrous effects on older adults’ health, safety, and quality of life.

Nursing homes might be forced to cut staff or even close. According to the American Health Care Association, Medicaid cuts could force half of nursing homes to cut staff, and more than one-quarter could have to close their doors — leaving patients and their families without options.

Medicaid cuts could force many rural hospitals to close
Hundreds of rural hospitals are at immediate risk of closure, and Medicaid cuts could push many to restrict services or close altogether. If this happens, Americans could be forced to drive several hours to access services like emergency care.
